THE DUCKS ARE HERE—The guests of honor for the first “Ducks On The Dan” race have arrived in South Boston and are being housed in a secret location until post time on Saturday, May 17. A total of 5,000 ducks will be released into the Dan River at 2 p.m. for the big race downstream for prizes, including a $5,000 cash grand prize, a 50-inch plasma television for second place, and a number of other great prizes.
