Halifax was well-represented in Richmond last week when the Rev. Frank H. Carr, co-pastor of Living Word of Christ Fellowship Church and State Chaplain of the American Legion Department of Virginia, offered the opening invocation for the Virginia House of Delegates.

Del. James Edmunds II, 60th House District representative, invited the Rev. Carr to be his special guest at the State Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

The pastor and chaplain said he was privileged to open the morning session of the Virginia General Assembly that day with a prayer.

While in Richmond he met Imani Brooks, a Halifax County Middle School student who is serving as a page in the House of Delegates.
