Cars washed at either location, corner of Seymour Drive and center of Town of Halifax, will be counted in the funds received by the local Mental Health America. All funds raised stay in Halifax County. CUB SCOUTS WILL BE TRAVELING THROUGH VARIOUS NEIGHBORHOODS IN SOUTH BOSTON HANDING OUT PAPER GROCERY BAGS FOR FOOD ITEM DONATIONS, MARCH 3: The bags will be distributed if citizens are at home and leaving door hangers if not at home. These items will have instructions that illustrate that neighbors help neighbors by purchasing non-perishable food items. The citizens should then place the bags at their front door by 8 a.m. March 10. The scouts will re-travel the neighborhood picking up all donations to surrender to the Serving Hope food program established by The Worship Center. If a neighborhood is not included in the drive, donations can be delivered to the charter organization, First Baptist Church at the fellowship hall, from noon to 2 p.m. March 10. Cub Scouts are an organization that promotes family, community and faith. This is the perfect service project for scouts that combine all of these ideals. The goal is to collect enough items to stock the food bank; this is a new ministry needing some help getting started.
