An 18-month investigation by Halifax County Sheriff’s Investigator M. A. Womack into a series of residential break-ins and larcenies has resulted in the arrest of a Nathalie couple, according to Sheriff Stanley Noblin.

Frisco Dale Crews, 24, and his wife, Joanna Jordan Crews, 28, of 2125 Lennig Road were charged for the break-ins and larcenies primarily in the Crystal Hill, Halifax and Scottsburg communities, Noblin said.

Frisco Crews was charged with three separate felony break-ins and five separate felony grand larcenies, the sheriff said. Joanna Crews was charged with two felony break-ins and two felony grand larcenies, he added.

More charges are expected against the couple pending further investigation, the sheriff said.

“I would like to thank all the citizens of the county who provided helpful information in these investigations,” Noblin said.
