Mr. Allie Lee Puckett of 3178 Chatham Road, Halifax died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at The Woodview. He was born in Pittsylvania County April 27, 1925 and was 85 years of age. He was the son of the late Willie Lee Puckett and Hilda Gertrude Shelton Puckett and was married to the late Lena Mildred Wilmouth Puckett. Mr. Puckett was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda P. Ford and husband, Robert, of Omega; two sons, Robert Wayne Puckett and wife, Carolyn, of Danville and Barry Allen Puckett and wife, Lois, of Halifax; one sister, Helen P. Hudson of Richmond; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with Military Rites will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Wilkins and the Rev. Dr. Michael Haskett officiating.

The family received friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.
