Hazel Wallace Puryear, 76, of 5185 Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston died Aug. 24, 2010 at her home. She was born in Halifax County April 2, 1934 the daughter of the late Will Wallace and Rosa Franklin Wallace and was married to the late J.B. Puryear.

Mr. Jessie James “Jimmy” Moore passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at his home in Alton. He was born in Halifax County June 29, 1929 and was 81 years old. He was the son of the late Charlie Cleveland Moore and the late Ruby Pruett Moore and married to June Walker Moore who survives.
